2nd Wind Farm in Uruguay

Most of electricity in Uruguay are harness through hydroelectric and fuel oil plants. This brings them to vulnerability when prolonged drought take place like what happened recently. In a move to cope up to these vulnerabilities and ever expanding demand for power/electricity, UTE has inaugurated the second wind farm in the country located at Cerro de los Caracoles, a hill top, which could generate 10 MV of clean energy. The project was financed and equipped by Spain by a debt scheme agreement. More details on the link below
