The One Laptop Per Child project includes getting $150 computers into the hands of students in Thailand, Libya and other developing countries in 2007. The computer, called the XO machine, will more than likely be the first computer most of these students have ever seen. Therefore, it will be more intuitive for the children. By July or thereabouts, several million XO machines should reach Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Nigeria, Libya, Pakistan, Thailand and the Palestinian territory. Within the next two weeks three more African countries could sign on for computers.Original source: Nashua Telegraph.
