Uruguay wants to enter trade agreement with US

It's called the Trade Investment Framework Agreement and would expand trade between the US and Uruguay. But Uruguay is part of the Mercosur trade bloc, which includes Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela, and the bloc forbids the negotiation of free-trade deals with other countries. About the deal with the United Stated, Uruguayan Economy Minister Danilo Astori said: "We can’t rule it out. We’ll be looking at it step by step."
